Fantastic. Different machine 2 people found this helpfulI have 2001 RM250 that I bought this year and trail ride with. I’ve not been able to get the jetting just right. Always a little rich. Had to give the stock adjustable choke stop adjustment a couple clicks when the machine warms to keep idle reasonable. However that would result in a little too rich condition. First ride, out of the box on the Lectron and it’s like a different machine. Mixture seems spot on. Idles good. Starts good. Smoothed the power delivery everywhere. Throttle response immediate. Can pickup from any reasonable gear. Power band very strong as before - but now the bike is so much smoother I can choose to ride “on the pipe” or off the pipe. I thought this was an expensive upgrade , before I tested. It was worth every penny. Bike is now fun to ride instead of a liability on the trail. Thank you Lectron for an awesome product. Happy to live with the choke being on the wrong side with these results ;)

Good carb needed tuning 1 people found this helpfulThe carb is marketed for no or very little tuning I ended up needing a lot of tuning and when I first would give it gas it would be hard to pull and the throttle wouldn’t return due to not big enough opening on bottoms of slide customer service was very helpful in resolving the problem and got the carb working flawlessly if your looking at buying a lectron for performance it is definitely worth it

Fuel injection response 1 people found this helpfulI have a 1999 rm250 and it's always ran rich. I have never been able to get the jetting right and it puts a strain on trying to ride and race this bike. Rich plugs and having to repack the silencer are a hassle too with all the excess oil. I've wanted a Lectron since I got the bike, but just recently got mine. Right out of the box it was a night and day difference. Started right up after a few kicks, only thing I had to do was adjust the idle. Very light throttle pull, I have to get a heavier spring it's so light actually, Doesn't snap back quick enough. Throttle response was absolutely insane, especially in the low end. 0-25% throttle is much more responsive and not boggy. When the power jet kicks in it absolutely screams. The build quality is excellent on these things and I believe they are worth the money. For whatever reason, prices do seem to be rising because I bought mine for $450 and now it's at $475. It's a very big investment, but I think it'll pay itself off over time.

BEST THING I EVER DID FOR THIS BIKE 0 people found this helpfulBoth myself and my dad ride RM 250s, we both now run the LECTRON carbs. I will never and I repeat NEVER run a different carburetor on any other motorcycle I own. It was easy to install and the tool kit made the metering rod easy to adjust. I made one adjustment from the factory setting and the bike ran perfectly. Absolutely the best thing I have ever done for my RM250, I am not even considering buying a new bike anymore, the Lectron made up my mind for me!
